TOP QUALITY SKIING...

…is the synonym for the Obergurgl and Hochgurgl Lift Companies.

The "Diamond of the Alps" lives up to its name not only when it comes to accommodation, service and enjoyment, but also in terms of skiing, snowboarding, powder riding, carving, free-riding and free-style skiing. …

Thanks to huge mountain lift capacities (up to 40,000 persons per hour) and several base terminals in the village center, lift lines are literally unknown. 24 ski lifts are spread over the wonderful ski area which offers superb snow conditions at high altitudes (1,800 – 3,080 meters above sea level) from mid-November through early May. Every year Obergurgl-Hochgurgl is the first non-glacier ski area in Tirol to open its slopes!

Myriad off-piste slopes in the unmarked ski area attract passionate free-riders and powder snow fans from near and far to the area's countless pristine powder stashes. But never forget: safety comes first! For safety reasons Ötztal Tourismus strongly recommends to check the current snow, avalanche and weather reports on the spot. Safety equipment and avalanche transceivers are an absolute must for off-piste skiers. For demanding tours you should enlist a local ski guide or certified mountain guide.
